Braille Transcription Centre:
The Braille Transcription centre was started in 1999 and converts books required by visually impaired students into Braille. Books are printed at the centre on request basis through the year. Majority of the books printed in Braille at Mitra Jyothi are textbooks for students. All visually impaired/low vision people can take advantage of the centre. These books are of great help to students especially at the primary level where remembering spellings is a problem and it improves their vocabulary. The Braille books help students to establish a sound foundation in their academics. |
